Project Runway Season/Series 3 on Sky1

Great reality fashion series which incorporates talent, no hopers, innovation, blandness, banality and creativity, with plenty of rivalry and tension thrown in for good measure. Highly entertaining.

It’s back. Another season of Project Runway with Heidi Klum presenting and the usual judges of Michael Kors and Nina Garcia with an additional guest judge each week. Tim Gunn is the man to guide and advise the contestants in each week’s task.

The 15 contestants, as weird and wonderful as ever. A brilliant mix of obviously talented and creative people, hangers on and people who are out of their depth. Egos galore.

Tasks so far in this series, have been to make an ensemble from only materials available in their apartment and to make an evening gown for Miss USA to wear to the Miss Universe pageant. The first was obviously a bit more demanding in the creativity stakes and the winner disappointingly just used a duvet cover rather than some of the others who utilised many alternative materials such as rugs, shower curtains, sofa covers etc.

The second week, contestants had to work in pairs which brought more tension to the fore as personalities clashed or combined.

Each week one is eliminated till the final 3 show their collections at New York fashion week at which stage the winner will be announced.

I look forward to seeing the rest of the tasks, to watching the show progress and seeing which personalities and talent win out.
